2.0 Monitor Configuration

NOTE: The ATI utility must be run using the VGA display driver in
OS/2. After configuring the desired refresh rates install the
       ATI display driver.

Unzip the ATI utilities into a working directory. If you obtained the
utilities on diskette place disk #1 into your drive when required.
Please follow these instructions for configuring refresh rates.

1) The ATI configuration utility must be run from VGA. If OS/2 is
not configured with the VGA driver, shutdown and press "CTRL ALT DEL"
to restart the system. If the VGA driver is installed goto
    step 5.

2) At the "white block OS/2" message in the top left hand side of the
    screen press "ALT F1".

3) a. For Warp3 press "V" to reset the primary video display to VGA.
    b. For Warp4 press the "F3" function key to reset the primary
       video display to VGA.

4) After the system comes up into OS/2 with the VGA driver shutdown
    and reboot.

5) Open a OS/2 command session and run OS2INST.EXE from the directory
    or diskette it is located.

6) Select Quick Setup.

7) From the Monitor Selection Menu select the desired monitor or
Custom to set refresh rates manually.

8) Answer yes for completion of settings and the save dialogs and
    exit the utility.

9) Install the ATI display driver (instructions below).

! Restart the system with Monitor only for the display option. If the
system is not using the correct refresh rate confirm that the
configuration file EEDATA.EE_ is located in root directory or your

3.0 Device Driver Installation

NOTE: We recommend that OS/2 be configured for VGA before installing
ATI display drivers. Please use the instructions above for
       configuring OS/2 for VGA (steps 1 - 4).

Unzip the ATI OS/2 display drivers into a working directory. If you
obtained the drivers on diskette place disk #2 into your drive when
required. Please follow these instructions for installing the display
driver.

1) Open a OS/2 command session and run SETUPATI from the working
directory, if installing from a harddrive, or from the "OS2"
    directory on disk #2.

2) When the Monitor Configuration/Selection Utility comes up confirm
"Install Using Defaults for Monitor Type" is selected and choose
    OK.

3) The will go blank and may flash slightly while OS/2 determines valid
    display modes.

4) After the driver has finished installing you must shutdown and reboot
OS/2 for the changes to take effect.

5) You can change resolution under OS/2 System / System Setup / System
    using Screen - Properties.
