IMPORTANT!!!!! READ BEFORE PROCEDING!!!!

BETA 2 - Jan 10, 1997

This package contains the latest drivers and applications for the
AWE32, SB32 and SB16 sound cards from Creative Labs. It will install
the drivers and files without causing versioning problems with the
.dll files and will allow Warp v4 users to install the AWE32/SB32
Control Panel, otherwise only available with Creative's driver
package. It will also assist OS/2 users in installing WinOS2 drivers
by setting up IBM's winstall.cmd and the appropriate .ctl file.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
I.	IMPORTANT NOTES:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

1. The installation program assumes that the \mmos2 and the \os2
directories are on the same drive. If they are not, install to the
default directory and copy the files from the \os2 directory created
by the install program to the matching locations in the real \os2
directory. DO NOT change the default directory if you are installing
drivers.

2. The installation program will install the Creative Labs programs
into the \mmos2\blaster directory. You can of course move this
\blaster directory elsewhere after the install.

3. The Creative Mixer doesn't work with any drivers written since
December of 1995.

4. OS/2 Warp v4 users shouldn't need to install the SB16 or AWE32
drivers. The drivers shouldn't hurt anything, but are the same
version as the ones included with Warp v4.

5. This was done without the assistance or permission of Creative
Labs or IBM. If either party has a real problem with my doing this,
well, I can be contacted by email: colin@ionet.net and I will remove
this file from my web page.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
II.	Installing WinOS2 Support
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This program copies the latest WinOS2 drivers into your \os2\drivers
directory, IBM's winstall.cmd WinOS2 driver installation program from
wininst.zip, and a script file for your card. After installing the
drivers themselves, you should go to a command prompt and execute the
winstall.cmd script.
