*******	Installation procedure for Gravis UltraSound PnP (Pro) **************
*************** and other Interwave based cards *****************************

	- Uninstall Gravis' drivers if installed
		- MINSTALL with that package and select zero Ultrasounds

	- Uninstall Manley drivers if installed
		- confirm no "ULTRA" strings in CONFIG.SYS

	- MINSTALL this package
		- new ULTRADD switches:
			- /P:<GUS base>,<codec base>
			- /I:<GF1 IRQ>,<MIDI IRQ>
			- /D:<play DMA>,<rec DMA>
			- /C:<number of voices to use> (default = 28)
		          (ignored on a GUS PnP (Pro) and Interwave since
			   it support 32 voices at 44.1 Khz)
			- /J (enable joystick)
			- /L (always enable line-in)
			- /V (verbose messages at startup)

		- NOTE: v 1.20 requires an MINSTALL to enable multiple
		  ACTIVE digital audio (DART/WAVE/AVI) streams

	- Change drive/directory on ULTRADMN.EXE line in CONFIG.SYS to main
	  UltraSound directory if not <drive>:\ULTRASND

	- CONFIG.SYS should have lines similar to this:
		DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\ULTRADD.SYS /P:240,32C /I:12,5 /D:7 /J /V
		DEVICE=D:\MMOS2\ULTRAVDD.SYS
		RUN=D:\MMOS2\ULTRADMN.EXE C:\ULTRASND
		RUN=D:\MMOS2\ULTRALDR.EXE

	- Some or all of the following switches have to be manually added
	  to your config.sys:
	  (WARNING: do NOT use these switches on other cards than those
	            with AMD's Interwave chip)
		- /G (enable GUS PnP (and Interwave) detection)
		- /R (force PnP reset if your system doesn't have
		      a PnP BIOS and you are NOT running OS/2 Warp 4.0)
		- /E:XXXXXXX (3 letters + 4 digits)
		     (PnP ISA Vendor ID for Interwave based soundcards
		      not sold by Gravis
		      example (uses the GUS PnP Vendor ID):
			/E:GRV0001
		      The Vendor ID can probably be found in the
		      iw.ini file)

	- install MIDI support: (GUS PnP (Pro) only)
		- install RAM support from your Gravis CD
	          (copies a lot of .pat files in your ultrapnp\midi directory)
	        - change the following line:
			RUN=D:\MMOS2\ULTRADMN.EXE <DRIVE>:\ULTRASND
		  to 	RUN=D:\MMOS2\ULTRADMN.EXE <DRIVE>:\ULTRAPNP
	  An ultrasnd.ini should be present in your ULTRAPNP directory

	- install MIDI support: (non GUS PnP cards)
		- acquire a set of patches from Gravis' website
		  (http://www.gravis.com; file section)
		  Either download the new Gravis disks or the ProPatch (lite)
		  package.
		- create an ULTRAPNP directory (or whatever you wish to call it)
	        - change the following line: (GUS PnP (Pro) only)
			RUN=D:\MMOS2\ULTRADMN.EXE <DRIVE>:\ULTRASND
		  to 	RUN=D:\MMOS2\ULTRADMN.EXE <DRIVE>:\ULTRAPNP
		- copy the ultrasnd.ini file in the ULTRAPNP directory
		- copy all the patch files (.pat) in the ULTRAPNP\MIDI directory
********************************************************************************
NOTE: You need to have RAM on your Interwave board for MIDI with this release.
      We probably will support ROM patches in the future.
